Why a Travel Page?
Anyone who knows me will testify that I am totally obsessed with Italy. I can't deny it! I love that gorgeous boot shaped country, along with it's culture, art, architecture, food, wine and amazing people. I've been to a few other places and there are many more that I'm salivating to get to. But I know that I will always return to Italy. I didn't realize that when I began a pen pal campaign in an effort to learn the language that I would develop friendships with so many warm hearted, generous people. You know the song "I left My Heart in San Francisco"? Well, at least part of my heart stays in Italy and calls for me to return - often. I say all that to explain why you will see a preponderance of the travel blogs here relating to Italy.
Ok, so what does travel have to do with beer and wine? Only everything! What could be better than drinking a Chianti Classico in the actual region of Chianti? Or a dopplebock in Germany? Travel with me as we explore our favorite beverages in their native regions and hopefully gain some understanding of the dedicated people who produce them.
